Christoper Nadareski of the Department of Environmental Protection will band the 4 baby peregrine falcons on Thursday, May 12th at 10:00 AM. The banding will be shown live on the webcam. wassat

We're pleased to announce that Jubilee and Rocky's eggs hatched this past weekend. Just in time for Easter. They are now the proud parents of 4 baby falcons. smile

We've identified the male falcon. It's none other than Rocky whose been with Jubilee for the past few years. Isn't love grand! smile

We idenified the female falcon. It turns out it's Jubilee, the resident falcon that has been nesting at 55 Water Street since 2008. smile

Barbara Loucks of the NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation has reported that a female falcon named Cynthia, banded at 55 Water Street on 5/22/02, has been nesting at the Heislerville Tower on Delaware Bay since 2009. Cynthia is the second falcon from the 55 Water Street site that has been located. Mario, who was banded on 5/18/06, has been nesting on a cliff at West Rock Ridge State Park in Woodbridge, CT since 2008. smile

Welcome everyone! The 55 Water Street Falcon Webcam is now up and running for the 2011 season. There seems to be activity with new scrapes being made within the nesting box by two resident adults whom we're attempting to identify. As soon as we can determine who they are, we'll let you know. In the meantime, keep watching. smile
